OUR STORY:
We are two brothers from another mother who met 10 years ago. We enjoy spending time together with our families and friends and, as it’s traditional on Hispanic culture, do so over a good cup of coffee or espresso martini. After years of travelling to many countries together, and appreciating how coffee brings people together, we came up with our own Karahiyo™ ready to drink cocktail.
The term Karahiyo™ comes from the Spanish word “coraje” meaning courage, reflecting its invigorating effect. The drink dates back to the 19th century in Spain, where businessmen used to stop by their neighborhood bar before going to work in the morning and drink a shot of Vodka with an expresso cup of coffee. Quickly after, it became popular in Cuba where Spanish soldiers prepared it by adding rum to their coffee for an extra kick and to remain alert. Today, most people throughout Latin America enjoy it after a meal with friends and family as a digestif cocktail.
We have carefully selected the finest coffee beans, prepared through a cold nitro-brew process to preserve its taste, and paired it with some of the best vodka in the market to bring to you this ready to drink cocktail that will without a doubt bear witness to great moments with loved ones.
